... today I woke up after a night of listening to some empowering CDs and we headed over to Rapid City.
We attended church with my grandparents and had a fantastic time. We really felt a strong and welcoming connection there. My wife and I talked about it afterwards, and we feel this is the church we will join and we will make it a weekend "getaway" to head down to Rapid and spend time with God and family every Sunday.
Next Sunday will be an exception - we are staying in the Spearfish Canyon Lodge on a nice weekend vacation.
After church, we stopped by a local restaurant my grandparents always go to. I am cutting back on my coffee intake, so I had a glass of grapefruit juice (boy that can really wake you up!) and had the salad bar. It was delicious.
We spent most of the day back at my grandparents' house. They have had that house for decades - my own mother was three when they bought it, I believe. They've added onto it and it is in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood with a creek running through the back. Our daughter came screaming with excitement when she noticed two bucks "dining" next to the creek. We headed into the family room and watched them lock horns through the picture window. It was a beautiful site.
After that, we had a lovely dinner at the Fireside restaurant - they have a huge fireplace in the middle of the dining area. I had a peppercorn steak with a naked baked potato (added a dash of sour cream), bean soup and spinach salad. No dessert for us, the meal was just perfect.
Tonight I'm tired though it's early, so I'm ready to relax and continue this wonderful day of rest.
Tomorrow is a new week with new goals and new energy to create, share, and manifest in the world.
Blessed be,
