Life in the Juice Fast Lane

Whoo! What a day. I apologize for not posting yesterday ... I went to bed a wee tad early due to lack of energy. The first and second days are usually the ones that are draining on a juice fast. I tried something differently this time - I began my juice fast in the evening instead of the morning - and it appears to have worked. While I had more severe "detox" symptoms yesterday - mainly headache, weakness, dizziness, etc - today I'm feeling much, much better. A little bit of weakness in the morning and runny nose, but that's it.

I am very excited about how I will feel a few days from now, and also anticipating my first bite of an actual piece of fruit rather than just the juice!

I had a talk about juice fasts last night. I don't know if I sounded that way on the phone, but I certainly felt drained and sapped of energy. I did enjoy the call - it was the most energy that I had throughout the day - and have it posted up.

Today I am taking it easy. I have a few calls to make and some training to do this evening. I should be back to 100% tomorrow. Because of the weakness I feel today, I am probably not going to do any exercise - I did the jangle/stretching with my wife this morning, that may have to suffice for now. We'll see!

My daughter and I just got done playing "tent" with her teepee in the family room. It was fun - we even had the pretend bear (our dog, Lizzie), try to "break in" a few times. Lizzie got so upset she couldn't come in the tent with us that she laid done and just started whining. Sappy puppy!

It's a beautiful day once again. I am happy for it and look forward to going on a walk today. Perhaps my wife will join us and we'll go down to the Mickelson trail. When I am fasting, I always want to be outside, under the sky, breathing the fresh air. I do wish it was colder for the sake of skiing - I'm confident we'll get a bit more before the season is over.

I give thanks to God for a wonderful year and for the amazing connections I've made.

Blessed be,

Jeremy Likness
