We are packing and getting ready to head out. While it is still cold and snow is on the ground, the skies are clear and blue and it is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day.
Yesterday was a productive day. I can admit that I did not keep up with my daily action tasks. There were quite a few that were left undone. This is my focus for this year - consistent action. So we take it one day at a time, and when the day is not perfect, it becomes the past and I focus on progress.
It's actually interesting to look at what happened. This is why an action plan is so important to me. I was consumed with an idea that led to a frenzy of productivity, which is not a bad thing. However, in the past, I would suffer from that syndrome of getting a project started and then not seeing it through to completion. So while I am excited about this project, I am going to remain focus and keep the other projects moving along as well.
I have been trying to figure out the best course of action for a print book to be released this month. Lose Fat, Not Faith has quite a bit of editing and is one work that I will pursue mass distribution with - i.e. into bookstores, etc. However, there are quite a few other projects like illustrated workout guides that I can initially publish and fulfill in house. I had mentioned a Fast Food Fitness. That project is moving forward and I will have a "private" document for the band after this weekend, but will take much longer to release to the general public because I will be getting in contact with various chains to find out what information they are willing to share so it's not just a list of recipe items but has more information.
Then, as I was responding to a query on an online forum, it struck me.
I have spent probably hundreds of hours responding to queries online and posting to various communities. I have probably been asked thousands of questions over the past several years, and many of those I have a record of. What better way to share information than to organize it in a question/answer format? I really love this because these are questions people REALLY ask - quite often - so they are seeking the answers. Furthermore, my responses, instead of being written like an article or book prose, are "in the moment" and "from the heart" meaning they are written in easy to read and understand, informal terms. So my voice truly shows through.
This idea suddenly consumed me - I realized THIS IS IT! I will release a book that is sort of like "Ask the Health Coach" (that probably won't be the final title, but that's what I'm calling the project). So, I fired up my text editor and started going through questions and answers that I have filed away. I'm about 1/8th of the way through and am at 110 questions for about 53 pages written. This will be released by the end of the month - in print! Still deciding if it is worth the extra cost of perfect binding (making it more like a book that you get at the bookstore) or if coil binding is fine (sometimes less expensive, but not always).
So, that was where my focus came and why I did not do some tasks for my MLM business, approach a new affiliate, or do a few other items. Here is what I DID do:
Meditate - late in the evening, listening to classical music
Exercise - personal best! I hit my goal. 200 Hindu squats, 24 Hindu push-ups, and a 55 second bridge hold
Healthy nutrition - was great until I had the little splurge of Starbucks ice cream (hey, it wasn't a meltdown - I allowed it ... this weekend will be a culinary experience, but remember, I never stuff myself!)
Personal development - I love this book, Think and Grow Rich! I pick out new things every time.
My daughter last night was getting ready to go to bed, and she told us that she wanted to make some web sites. She said when she grows up, we can visit her websites and we can visit her. She said she wants one called "country cowgirl rodeo" because when she grows up, she will be a cowgirl, an artist, a singer, and a website maker. She also wants a website for winter clothes and one to give fun clothes to children (my little entrepreneur.)
I told her if she wanted a website, we could make it now. Why wait? She was excited. We decided to create one, and that she would tell me things to type and share some of her pictures.
So, Country Cowgirl Rodeo is now online!
Have a blessed and safe weekend,
