Okay, may seem like a strange revelation.
But, as I was standing in the kitchen, eating some salty corn chips that weren't on my nutrition plan, I realized ... yup, I'm human. Sometimes I just like to grab some emotional food.
Fortunately, I caught myself before it turned into a binge. And I made coffee. My lesser of evils - no calories. LOL.
Today was one of those rare days where I actually was in a bit of a damp mood. I'm thinking perhaps it was the contrast between such a relaxing weekend and jumping into the fray today. By the end of the day, I feel energized and excited but this morning I had to motivate myself a bit to "get going."
I was coming off of the weekend with a few nutrition guides to write, the book project I recently assigned myself, a few presentations for my in-home business that I coach others to development, and a table covered with some materials that are ready to mail out (I have a fulfillment center manage most of the mailings but some advertising I do on my own for my multi-level marketing business).
I haven't spent my quiet meditation time - that will come before I go to bed. I won't check my healthy nutrition box, slipped a bit earlier even though I didn't let myself stray too far. Did not do as much for my MLM today as I would have liked. Did not take the dogs on a walk, but that is for a good reason - they were still boarded! We had them stay while we were on vacation and the person who grooms them got in today so we had them stay an extra day for that. I did not focus much on my team today, either, as I was sorting through items on my own, although I was excited to pass on some more leads to one of my representatives in St. Louis.
What does my task list look like? I have a few customized tweaks to share with the band members, I've got the bulk done and will have those out tonight or tomorrow. I have some packages to send out. I've created some very valuable relationships - this is how it happens: I bring on a guest to interview, we talk afterwards, they mention such and such might be interested in what I have, I call such and such, they in turn introduce me to so and so, and so forth. It is really exciting because I'm meeting amazing people and look forward to growing my calls as well as connecting with others online. I had a great interview tonight - our guest, Tony, had a lot of information to share and very straightforward way to share it.
So, it's time to get back out of activity, which I feel I did a bit of today, and back into PRODUCTIVITY. I'll be working more on my Q&A book coming out soon (my first Natural Physiques print product other than the special reports I mail out), getting the edits to my Lose Fat, Not Faith book finalized (had an exciting conversation with the editors today, and they feel they can have me a final edit in 2 weeks, which means after I update and take it back through a final pass, the book should be professionally edited cover to cover by the end of the month - that means it will be ready to consider for print.
A very rewarding time today was sitting with my daughter as she updated her website. She draws the pictures, loads them in the scanner, and even clicks to have them scanned in. I simply resize and upload them to my site. Then, she types in her own blog updates - she types it all herself and spells most words. When I have to spell a word for her, she never asks again because if she has to type it twice, she finds the first place she wrote it and copies it over.
I am going to build a few more pages of my book this evening, finalize the band's workout and nutrition programs and then get some well-deserved rest!
Blessed be,
Jeremy Likness
