Whew - the snow keeps coming down!

It was ten degrees below when we woke up this morning!

I felt tired, so I asked my wife to jangle without me - I slept in a bit. "Sleeping in" means getting up at quarter after seven in the morning instead of quarter after six. I then woke up, jangled, and had my pot, er, cup of the coffee for the day (limiting to just this one in the morning).

Today has been an enriching day. I've done my personal development (reading the same book - Think and Grow Rich) and spent some quality time with my daughter. She has piano today, so we practiced some of her lessons. She was excited about playing with a balloon from her birthday party as well.

I am eager to get on the phone to speak with some people, but have a few "online" tasks to complete. Tomorrow morning, the monthly Lose Fat, Not Faith e-Zine goes out to several thousand subscribers. I always write the editorial "in the moment" and from the heart, and then pull articles I feel are unique and offer benefit. The e-Zine is practically complete - just one more article to put into it - but I always like to check and double-check it before publication.

I've gotten a large portion of the fast food guide completed. It is amazing how times have changed. When I ran Peak Physiques, a company about 4 years ago, I had to pull teeth to get nutrition facts. Now, most fast food restaurants have a document to download on the site and then guide you straight to their healthier choices. Of course, sometimes what "looks" healthy is not - for example, some people get salads with dressing and fried/battered chicken that have more calories than a small burger would. The guide is going to feature some tips and techniques, ways to always create a healthy meal at sit-down restaurants, best picks, etc.

I'm working on a press release for the Christian Music Makeover. I've received most of the information I need from the band, so it's time to start developing workouts that can be done while traveling. Since I've done quite a few routines with body weight or inexpensive tubing and jump-ropes, this should not be a challenge, but I will make sure it is the right workout for each person.

Today is the day of assessments. I provide free 15-minute phone assessments for those willing to take the time to fill out a form and share why they are ready to change. We cover an action plan. I have several today.

While I certainly am focused on sharing my coaching because I believe in my heart it can transform many lives, there are times when it doesn't make sense. For example, one couple was elderly and on a limited budget, so the solution for them was simple - there is a book published by Tufts University called Biomarkers that is packed with information and has sample nutrition and training guides, designed specifically from an anti-aging perspective. Another woman was interested in core exercises, which are wonderfully illustrated in David Grisaffi's Firm and Flatten Your Abs. A few customers actually had a great knowledge of training and nutrition, and were simply looking for words of encouragement and to know they were on the right path. That is always exciting to see, and to know they will be sharing their success down the road.

Now it's time to polish some of the newsletter and call a few people. I have a bit of productivity to take action with before this weekend, as we are taking a vacation to Spearfish Canyon.

Thank you for sharing your time with me today by reading this.

Blessed be,

Jeremy Likness
