You gotta love technology ...

Just kidding. You don't really.

I should know. I spent 10 years working FOR technology. Now I'm happy it's working for ME, but, like employees, sometimes technology can decide to be a little non-productive.

Like this morning, when I sent out my newsletter promising that it was available online ... and it wasn't. Whoot! Now it's back up, my providers have phenomenal response time, which is great.

I finally get to see what a TRUE "winter wonderland" looks like. We had the heavy snows earlier, and it lay thick and heavy on the ground. This time, it's been a light dusting ... albeit one that has lasted several days. This, instead of clumping on the ground, coats everything, giving the evergreens a silver sheen (not so green any more) and leaving a fine mist like confectioner's powder in the air. It is lovely to watch.

I found a part of the pellet stove last night I didn't realize could be cleaned. There is a tray with holes in the bottom that receives the pellets and this sits in a box. I figured out that I could remove the box (trust me, common sense is a skill I've had to earn - I wasn't born with it). Turns out there was plenty of ash and soot in the box, which is why our stove wasn't burning hot. I cleaned it out and fired it up and it was oh-so-nice to sit by the fire last night.

I must admit, I deviated from my nutrition a tad. This is where "better bad" choices come into play. I'm very excited about some projects and was talking to my partners in Florida. He was with motivational speaker John DiLemme and John is ALWAYS fired up. So I got really excited and my background is that of an emotional binge eater. So, in the past, this would have triggered, "Good times, okay, let's celebrate with food." The urge was great - I haven't "let go" of that part of me, only learned how to manage it. So how do I manage it? Well, at various times in my life, celebration would mean cigarettes, booze, food, or other activities that would really rob me of my energy and turn the victory hollow. This time? I grapped my cup of Joe and settled by the fireside. So, I had more than just my morning pot of coffee. But you have to admit, that's a "better bad" choice than binging, right? And then I relaxed and membered what my mentor Jeffrey Combs has to share ... that my highs are low and my lows are high. Stay right in the middle, keep it consistent. Don't jump so high you get thrown off track!

So today the task list is winding down - I love this. I used to let tasks accumulate and then the weekend would be, oh my ... look at all this! Now, my task list gets SMALLER as it SHOULD throughout the week. Perfect, because this is our weekend of relaxation. With the band project, I had the opportunity to take on over half a dozen coaching clients simultaneously. This is one place technology serves me, by allowing electronic forms to collect the information and build the workout programs, etc.

There are some very exciting developments taking place.

>> I'm going to have my 5-CD set re-mastered as a complete set. In other words, right now, I have 5 CDs and customers save by purchasing them together. With this project, they won't be 5 separate CDs bundled, but a continuous set edited to flow throughout all 5 with new packaging, etc.

>> I'm finalizing the editing of the full Lose Fat, Not Faith e-Book. This means the hundreds of existing customers will receive at no cost an updated version, and then I'll consider a print run. My customers have really been demanding something in print. Because many of those suggestions came from customers who purchased the digital version, I will pursue having a discounted version to those who have the digital copy and want to pick up the print version - I say "pursue" only because it depends on the arrangements I can make with the publisher, etc.

>> I'm forming my seminar calendar for the year. I will be going to a few major cities and partnering with other fitness and personal development professionals in those areas to host some great health and wellness events.

As an entrepeneur, usually every day has the potential to be a business day - we don't have to operate from the typical corporate calendar or schedule. I take my Sundays as a full day of rest from both business and training, to spend with family and God. All beliefs aside, taking a day of rest both physically AND mentally is always a good way to keep your energy levels high and avoid burnout. This weekend, we are going into the beautiful Spearfish canyon so it is more a "vacation" than a weekend. Therefore, for this week, this is the last business day for me ... and I'm going to be as productive with this time as I possibly can.

Wishing you abundance and health,

In Him,

Jeremy Likness
