Whew!
We decided yesterday to drive into Rapid City and celebrate a personal accomplishment of ours. We went to a nice Italian/Mediterranean restaurant. I had a dish that was lamb inside a light pastry with potato-stuffed pasta. It was decadent but delicious. My "treat" was a few squares of chocolate and a mocha latte at the local coffee shop.
We did some shopping for the home and the business. I purchased a 160 gig hard drive to back up my data and finally decided I've had it with StarOffice trying to convert documents, and bought the full version of Microsoft Office. Ahhh .. much better. Still getting used to the new e-mail. I also got a USB hub as my equipment list is growing. I got the microphone adapter I needed AND the new sound card. I can say that this coming podcast will be the best ... very clear quality now. First, it was the hum from the phone device - that was eliminated last week, but the sound card was shopping and distorting the signal. Now, with 24-bit digital coming in, it is crisp and clear. I can't wait to hear the results!
I've been doing quite a bit. The backup took 6 hours, I wrote a contract for some work I'm tasking out and am preparing for a special partnership I mentioned earlier (they require separate pages/databases for the campaign). I've also been working on my e-Book and getting the final edits in place. That is going much more quickly with Word 2003 now, just because it does a better job of generating PDF documents in combination with Acrobat than StarOffice could. I can turn out revisions in about 1/4 of the time now.
Not much else to say. I'm exhausted. From configuring my system, etc, I must admit - I was up until 4am. I felt out of sorts today, didn't stick 100% to plan. It's not that I ate unauthorized foods - I simply decided I would have a bit more carbs to get rid of some of the fog. I'm down 4 pounds the first week (consider a few of it water weight) and definitely notice the difference. Three weeks is going to be like night and day. I will take some pictures and post them to show the progress.
I'll probably change my workouts ... I was going to do 2-on-2-off-2-on-1 off but the weekends are just too much of a wild card. So I'll train Mon/Tue/Wed, take Thursday off (that's when I take my daughter to piano lessons) and then train Friday and take Saturday and Sunday off. We'll see how that works out! I'll do a cheat either on Saturday or Sunday and then focus on the higher protein/lower carbs on those days.
Well, there's not much more to post - didn't I share enough in the last one? LOL. I'm going to watch one of the DVDs we picked up ... great sale, so we got both of the Kill Bill series as well as the three Lord of the Rings, so I'm excited to relax and let my brain settle down for a bit. Tomorrow is our church day and then it's going to be a wild week with the launch of my affiliate program (it's already launched, but this will be with the company that is working with me to promote it and will come with a drawing, etc).
So ... I'm going to wrap up now.
Blessed be,
Jeremy Likness
