Happy Halloween!

What a fun day! I got to help my daughter's class with their Halloween party. My wife and I both helped pass out bags. The teachers set up a "parade" with different stations around the campus and the children marched around. Alyssa was a ballerina.

Did we mention already that you should watch what supplements you take, because they might have some steroids hiding in them?

Many of my readers and clients are aware of the "dairy test" that I advocate. Most people are lactose intolerant and don't realize it, simply because they've confused that stuffy nose with allergies to pollen or other causes. The test is simple: just cut out dairy for four weeks. We're not asking you to do it for life, just a few short weeks to see how your body responds. If you are a minority, this article explains why it is even more important to try this out ... what many people find is they gain energy, release fat, their face thins out from being bloated and puffy, and they suddenly can breathe again.

If you're one of those, you might consider ditching dairy. Don't worry about the billion-dollar scare tactics that have so many people believing dairy is the only way to get calcium ... that's just an ugly side of marketing that fails to share that milk increases your body's needs for calcium and that you can do just as well getting calcium from a combination of nuts, seeds, leafy green vegetables and a well-balanced supplement.

Besides ditching dairy (for some people), another way to combat the extra flab is to take the stairs. Be sure to share that with the French, who are also struggling with a rising rate of obesity.

Until next time,
