Crossfit

I first saw mention of Crossfit in response to a diet-blog posting about Free fitness tools. At the time I had a look around Crossfit and was gobsmacked. This was about serious fitness.

Crossfit seems to combine elements from many exercise disciplines. They post a new workout each day.

A few days ago I decided to have another good look at Crossfit - and for the first time in months - I feel seriously excited about exercise! I'm going to give it a try.

At this point I cannot even do their warmup routine! But hey - everyone starts somewhere.

  • I met with a crossfit trainer today. After having me warm up and evaluating my fitness level he had me do the "Christine" WOD. I did make it through 3 rounds (although I didn't deadlift my body weight!). I'm totally excited about learning more exercises and incorporating crossfit workouts into my exercise routine.

  • Constantly varied functional exercise performed with intensity (eventually though).

    Good find. CrossFit is by far the best and most challenging and yes fun way to train. Good luck to all of you in your pursuit of fitness. Just remember ROUTINE is the enemy.
