What do I do when my family invites me to dinner and I know it's not going to be healthy food?

You have a few choices. You can have something before you, and simply manage your portion sizes. It's not always the type of food that is the problem with meals ... it is often the portion sizes. Control the size, add some extra cardio, and it's no issue.

Another option is to share that you have changed your style of nutrition and bring your own food. People have mixed opinions about this, as some consider it rude - personally, I think it's rude to try to make me eat food I don't feel is healthy - it's like asking someone to smoke.
